So you want go to London?! It's a great idea, as you know the last year I went there and it were magical (and a little bite tiring ^^)! I went there with three of my friends and we stayed three days after Christmas. I think it was too short because there are so many things to be made!
By arriving we took care of all which was transports, find our hostel and to establish the program of what we wanted to make. We arrived at Heathrow and we took subway direction Picadilly Circus where was situated our hostel. It's really easy to circulate in London but think to take a pass for few days, it is cheaper and you can use it for the subway and the bus.
We had a lot to walk to see a maximum of monuments: Big Ben, London Eyes, Tower Bridge, Westminster… The architecture of London is so rich that we do not know any more where to look, of more the night falls fast in winter and the city becomes magic!
Of course we went to see the changing of the guard to Buckingham Palace but if you are afraid when there are too many persons it is not a good idea, it's one of the biggest attraction of this city!
Near you can go say "Hello" to the squirrels of Hyde Park who are very sociable :D
Days after Christmas they are sales so it was necessary to go shopping! We began by Regent Street which is a main avenue filled of all kinds of shops as for example Hamleys, an immense toy store.
After we went to Camden, you need to go this district. It's absolutely amazing like you can see on the photograph.
There is lot of small shops and you can find all that you want! To finish we went to Harrods, THE big big and smart shop of London to buy tea, marmalade and other little things.
It is a small summary of these holidays but if you have other questions don't hesitate!
See you soon, love,
Hélène
